A creative power house, Hermione Hennessy Ross is a singer, songwriter, musician, artist manager, artistic consultant, communicator, company director, mentor, connector, carer, fixer, glamour-lover, healer, empath and most importantly, in this crazy ever-changing world – survivor!
Hermione Hennessy Ross is a music manager, creative director, singer-songwriter and recording artist. She’s also the daughter and manager of Irish singer-songwriter Christie Hennessy and ex CEO of two multi-faceted businesses linking artist management with recording, marketing, campaign strategy, distribution, publicity and A&R.
Along with her own label, Hermione’s debut album ‘Songs My Father Taught Me’ which was signed to Warner Music, stayed at the number one spot within the Irish charts for five weeks, where she also toured alongside Willie Nelson and Leona Lewis.
At the age of 19, Hermione went from running the Arts & Entertainment Division of the Greater London Council to becoming the head of promotions for Clive Calder the co-founder of the Zomba Music Group and is subsidiary Jive Records. 8 months later she was appointed deputy MD and head of artist development at Jive Records, making her the youngest person at that time to fulfil this position at an independent record label. After setting up her own company 26 Management, she looked after the internationally acclaimed boy soprano Aled Jones signing him to his first adult record deal with Telstar, whilst subsequently heading up projects for a wide range of international recording artists.
Hermione has worked her magic on Elaine Paige overseeing recordings and visuals as well as supporting and performing alongside her on an extensive UK tour, funded and released Dionne Warwick’s 50th Anniversary album ‘Now’ on her own label imprint H&I Music where she met the seminal record producer Phil Ramone (Marilyn Monroe, Tony Bennett, Madonna, Quincy Jones, George Michael, Paul McCartney, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Ray Charles etc) who she managed for the last 3 years of his life until his passing in 2013.
Alongside music supervising the LEGO ‘Friends’ brand for young girls which included the first ever Lego Friends movie ‘Girlz 4 Life’, Hermione formed the US teen girl group L2M with Tim Byrne who had previously been Simon Cowell’s creative director on X Factor. L2M went on to voice the LEGO Friends characters before taking the 5 lead roles in in the You Tube Kids/Disney 10 part TV series called ‘Hyperlinked’. Starring all 5 girls in the leading roles she was positioned as the Executive Producer and then went on as their manager to sign them to the chairman of Warner Bros Records in Los Angeles.
From supporting and managing the Icelandic tenor Gardar Thor Cortes who became Andrew Lloyd Webber’s muse and go-to ‘Phantom’ appearing on Broadway and on tour in the USA after runs in Hamburg and Paris, to the French-Moroccan artist Karen Ruimy’s music, dance, spiritual teachings and fashion brand career, alongside Ukraine’s top pop star Kamaliya and her oligarch husband Zahoor, securing not only the hit TV series ‘Meet The Russians’ (in which she also appeared), but a US spin-off too – many artists have benefitted from Hermione’s ability to open doors across the globe.
